And He Brought Him to Jesus

John 1:42

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

The greatest work of Andrew’s life is mentioned in the verse above, And he brought him to Jesus. Andrew could have run for political office and won, but that would not be the greatest accomplishment of his life. Andrew could have been the leader of the free world, but that would not have been the greatest accomplishment of his life. Andrew could have won a championship in sports, but that would not have been the greatest accomplishment of his life. Andrew could have built the biggest business in the world, but that would not have been his greatest accomplishment of his life. Andrew could have become the wealthiest man in the world, but again, that would not have been the greatest accomplishment of his life. The greatest accomplishment of Andrew’s life is that he brought his brother to Jesus.

Too many people are looking at the wrong things as the greatest accomplishment that they can achieve when the greatest accomplishment is to bring someone to Jesus. The answer for this world will never be found in politics, money, fame, or any worldly accomplishment; the answer for this world is Jesus.

This world is looking for the answers to societal problems, but the answer is only found in bringing people to Jesus. The answer for the homeless situation is for these people to be brought to Jesus. The answer to the broken homes in society is to bring these people to Jesus. The answer to prisons being filled to overflowing is to bring these people to Jesus. The answer to our drug problem is bringing people to Jesus. The answer to the mental health problem in this world is to bring people to Jesus. Jesus is the answer to every problem we face today, but people will never find the answer if someone doesn't bring them to Jesus.

My friend, you don't have to be talented to bring people to Jesus. It is not about how talented you are that matters; it is about you inviting someone to come to Jesus. Talent is never the issue; obedience to bring someone to Jesus is the issue. Jesus doesn't need your talent; He needs your obedience to bring people to Him so that He can save their souls and change their lives.

Moreover, it is not a matter of how good you are at bringing people to Jesus; it is that you just need to bring them to Him. You may stutter as you invite people to Jesus, but stutter and bring someone to the Saviour. You may not be eloquent in delivery, but yield to the Holy Spirit and bumble through your invitation, but bring someone to Jesus. You may not be bold, but nervously invite people that you can bring to Jesus. All that matters is that you do the best you can to bring people to Jesus.

Who are you to bring to Jesus? Revelation 22:17 answers this question when it says, And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Your job is to find a whosoever and invite them to come to Jesus. That whosoever may be a family member. That whosoever may be someone you work with. That whosoever may be your neighbor. That whosoever may be a friend you went to school with. That whosoever may be a store clerk, your boss, the gas station attendant, or someone you bump into on the street. Whatever you do, just bring people to Jesus, for He is the answer to their problems.
