Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
One of the greatest needs that would change every person and church is for them to be anointed with power. Jesus was anointed with power, and the results of His ministry on earth still live on today. The countless numbers of people whose lives were changed to this day because of Christ’s earthly ministry will never be known until we get to Heaven. Had Christ not been anointed with power, the eleven Apostles would likely not have been saved, the works and miracles He performed would not have been done, the early church would not have been started, and there would be no example for every believer to follow. But, because He was anointed with power, the volumes of books and the millions of lives that have been changed because of His life and ministry still affect us today.
You will never make an impact in your world without being anointed with Holy Ghost power. You can certainly do many good things without Holy Ghost power, but what you do will have little to no impact. Sadly, many believers move on in life without the Holy Ghost power, and wonder why they make no impact on others. There is no doubt in my mind that believers being filled with Holy Ghost is THE greatest need of today. Three great results will follow when you are filled with the Holy Ghost.
First, you will go about doing good. Going about doing good means you go about building people instead of going about tearing them down. When you are filled with the Holy Ghost, you will leave every place different from what it was like when you went there. When you go about doing good, you will go to every place looking and finding someone whom you can help or lead to Christ. When you go about doing good, you won’t leave a place with a mess of lives that you hurt by your fleshly or sinful actions; rather, you will leave a place with lives changed because God used you to help others.
Second, being anointed with the Holy Ghost power will enable you to be a life-changer. In other words, you will be surprised how the Holy Ghost will lead you to people who can be saved. People were saved everywhere Jesus went because He was anointed with power. People getting saved is not an anomaly for those who are anointed with Holy Ghost power, but it is commonplace because the Holy Ghost will lead you to those who are ready to be saved. If you want God to use you to see souls saved, you must be anointed with Holy Ghost power.
Third, God will be with you when you are anointed with Holy Ghost power. In other words, miracles will follow your life when you are anointed with the Holy Ghost. The only reason one does not see the miraculous works of God in their life is because they are not filled with the Holy Ghost. Young preachers desire the miraculous in their ministry, but they are looking to technology and methods instead of spending time with God getting His power on their lives.
My friend, there is no substitute for Holy Ghost power. The greatest need of your life is not networking with others but networking with the Holy Ghost and getting His power on your life. This and this only is what will allow God to use you to make an impact on others.
