It’s Your Move

Judges 6:14

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

The angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon and said, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. This statement seemed to be a strange statement as it was spoken while Gideon was living in fear and hiding his wheat from the Midianites. Gideon responded to this statement by saying, Where be all his miracles? Gideon wanted the miracles, but he had not seen them. Gideon saw the plight of his nation being invaded by the Midianites, and he had yet to see God doing anything miraculous to save them. However, God responded to Gideon by saying, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. God was telling Gideon, it’s your move. God was telling Gideon that the miracles he was looking for would happen, but he had to go before they would happen.

Inside of every believer is a “mighty man of valour,” but that mighty man will never come out until you have the faith to step out. The miracles we desire and seek are there, but it is our move that determines whether we will see these miracles. We can sit and question where all the miracles are, or we can go by faith and attempt the impossible and see whether God will do something mighty through us. If we want the miracles, there are several moves we must take.

First, we must go soul winning if we want to see miracles. God told Gideon to “go.” The word go is always a picture of soul winning. Mark 16:15 says, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, Go ye. Soul winning is always at the start of every miracle. You will never see the miracles of God without being a fervent soul winner. God always blesses soul winning, and every miracle God has ever sent always started with God’s people obeying the Great Commission to GO.

Second, faith is the second move you must take to see the miracles of God. There is no miracle without faith. You can go soul winning, but miracles will only happen with faith attempts. The reason so many never attempt faith acts is because they are afraid of failure. You cannot be afraid of failure and must be willing to accept that failure might happen when you step out by faith. However, God always honors those who step out by faith. If you want to see God do the miraculous through you, you must add faith attempts to your soul winning.

Third, there must be a prayer altar to see the miracles of God. Gideon prepared an altar for God, and the result was that there rose up fire out of the rock. God showed Himself when Gideon prepared the altar. You will never see God show Himself mighty through your life if you don't spend time in prayer. There is no miracle without prayer. You can go soul winning and attempt faith acts, but it will all fail without the power of God that comes through prayer.

My friend, it is your move. God always responds to the believer. If you go soul winning, attempt the miraculous, and spend much time in prayer, you will see the miracles that you have desired. Where be all His miracles? They are waiting for you to make a move to go soul winning. Where be all His miracles? They are waiting for you to attempt something by faith and spend much time in prayer. The miracles are waiting, but it is your move to go.
