John 8:20
These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Jesus spoke some very strong words against the Pharisees. These Pharisees hated Jesus and wanted to kill him. Though they wanted to kill him, they had one problem, and that was that Jesus was living in God's timeline. Notice the verse above says that no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. Even if these people wanted to lay hands on Jesus, they could not have done it because Jesus was living in God's timeline, and Jesus had yet to finish His work on earth. As long as Jesus lived in the timeline God planned for Him, it would not matter what the world had planned against Him; Jesus would succeed, and he did succeed. Let me share several thoughts concerning living in God's timeline.
First, God has your life intricately planned out. You are no uh-oh to God. It does not matter how you came into this world; God has your life planned out. If we believe in the providence of God, we must believe that He has planned every part of our lives. From the time that you were born to the time that you die, God has a timeline for you to live. God did not place you in another era in history because He knew that this is your time to produce the most for his cause. God had a timeline for my infancy, and for my adolescence, and for my teenage years, and for my single years, and for my young married years. God also had a timeline for my middle-aged years, and He also has a timeline for my senior years. God has your whole life planned out, and you must trust His timeline that He knows what He is doing in your life.
Second, you may not understand His timeline, but you must trust it. There are things that happen at different times in our lives that we may not understand, but we must trust that God is performing His will in our lives. What may be happening now may not be benefiting us, but it is part of God's timeline; therefore, as long as I am living in God's will, He is performing His plan in my life.
Third, you would be wise to stay in God‘s timeline, for His timeline will make the most out of your life. God's timeline for your life is where you accomplish the most in your life. Too many people have tried to jump out of God's timeline to live their own life or to do things in their own will, only to find that they have messed up their lives. Now you may have messed up your life, and God may have to rewrite your timeline, but you must always remember that living in God's timeline is where He will do his most work through your life. Don't waste God's timeline by trying to live your own life, but live in His timeline, and you will find that He will do the most through your life, even when you don't understand what is going on at the present.
Fourth, don’t worry about what is happening in the present of your timeline, because God has it planned out for the good of Romans 8:28. Romans 8:28 says, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. My friend, that little phrase, all things, includes what is happening in the present of your life. Good will come out of your life if you live in God's timeline. I may not see the good in the present, but I trust God's timeline by faith that good will come out of whatever I am facing today. Therefore, trust God, and keep doing right, and His timeline for your life will produce the most good out of your life.
